Younes Rjoub Engineering & Consulting (YREC) is a private Palestinian engineering firm located in Bethlehem, with registration certificate ID: 9361554043. YREC specialized in GIS (geographic information system), mapping, web mapping and online customized GIS applications, and is also involved in infrastructure projects.
Even though YREC is relatively new in the market, its staff have long and extensive experience in the field of GIS and mapping technology, database and information management. YREC staff are well known in the professional market and have many years of experience with PA ministries and Palestinian municipalities, NGO’s, UN and international institutions in GIS capacity building, on-job training and GIS projects.
The YREC team practical experience covers all aspects of GIS including data collection, data conversion, data cleaning, GIS database design, analysis and data dissemination through online web applications and other means.

YREC Staff are qualified and certified trainers in GIS, with over 17 years of experience working with NGOs and private sector, YREC has completed various projects, including the preparation of blocks and parcels by adding georeferencing (X, Y, Z) coordinate system points and rectifying maps for different municipalities using ArcGIS software and AutoCAD. Projects include tourist mapping, environmental hazard reduction, urban planning, transportation, solid waste management, climate risk management, flood susceptibility mapping, topographic and elevation mapping, road network and signage design, soil analysis, watershed and groundwater studies.
